RIGHTS
On December 5, 2016, Jon Hultman granted permission to host recordings on the Live Music Archive
My name is Jon Hultman, a/k/a "noj", bass player, singer and one of the primary songwriters of a number of underground Southern California bands active from the mid-80s to the mid-90s. Most of these bands permitted and even encouraged taping at their shows, and I would permit any past or future live performance that include me or my original songs to be uploaded to Internet Archive for streaming and/or downloading until such time as I write you to revise this policy. This would include--but is not limited to--live performances by the following bands:
- Bunji Thump (San Diego-based alternative rock band, active circa 1988-1991 - not to be confused with British EDM artist of the same name)
- Huge (successor to Bunji Thump; same primary songwriters, active circa 1991-1993)
- Gangbusters (San Diego-based ska band, 1991 and later only, as this is when I joined and became a primary songwriter)
- Current State (Los Angeles-based rock/funk band, active circa 1984-1988)
- Section 8 (Los-Angeles-based funk band, active circa 1989-early 90s)
- Smokescreen (San Diego-based classic rock/jam band, active circa 1993-1994)
- Toadstool (San Diego-based progressive funk band, active circa 1991-1992)
- The Floyds (San Diego-based folk/bluegrass band, active early 90s)
- Fusebox (La Mesa-based alternative jam band, active early 90s)
- SVAH (San Diego-based experimental music project, "active" early 90s)
Thanks,
Jon Hultman
